Why Therapy?

Whatever your reasons for considering therapy, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore difficult feelings or challenges.

People who know and love us can sometimes find it difficult to know how to support us when we are struggling. They may make assumptions or offer well meant, but misplaced advice. Or, we may have no one to talk to about how we feel.

Sometimes, nothing we try makes any difference to how we feel, leading us to feel self critical, or stuck. This can damage our self esteem.

I will listen to and support you with care and empathy, and help you understand yourself and your feelings more fully. I will help you regulate difficult emotions, so you can find a place of calm, and move forward with increased agency and confidence to deal with whatever you're facing.

I believe anyone can benefit from therapy, and often we dont know exactly what is troubling us.

However, my clients also seek support for exploration of/ difficulties arising from:

  • anxiety, stress and depression

  • grief and loss

  • relationships, whether past or present

  • sex and intimacy

  • pregnancy, fertility, parenting

  • low confidence, self esteem issues

  • work stress, conflict or burnout

  • cultural identity, sexuality or neurodivergence

  • physical and emotional abuse, including child sexual abuse

Whatever is troubling you, together we can explore relationships, patterns, beliefs and/ or behaviours which may be holding you back, so you can lead a healthier, happier life.
